JAY SAUNDERS

Husband, father, actor, filmmaker.  I am based out of the DC/VA/MD area, and work primarily as an actor.  My work is inspired by CJ Draden, Frank Miller, Simon Berger, Zhang Shanzi, Gustave Dore, and the work of Indonesian artist Aditya Novali.

Each piece is completed with acrylic paint carved with a razor blade on either glass, lexan, or acrylic.  A layer of safety film is added to the glass.  It is then treated with either 9mm bullet holes, 5.56 rounds, a 12 gauge slug, or smashed with a hammer.
